Prized mounts once took refreshment from this stone trough, carved from a solid block of limestone more than one hundred years ago. Once purely functional, the trough is celebrated today for its elegant form, rustic authenticity, and beautifully textured carved surface. Three lush chrysanthemum blossoms adorn the trough's side, symbols of autumn and joviality. A wonderful addition to the garden, this trough has been drilled with a drainage hole and can be filled with lush greenery or striking floral arrangements.

Stone Trough Sinks

A stone sink is a unique way to embrace nature in design. Over the years, we’ve worked with clients who have incorporated troughs as sink basins in sleek Chicago apartments to outdoor garden areas in rustic lake houses in California. The stone sinks can “float” on a wall or be integrated into a counter.

We became even more enamored with traditional troughs as sinks after seeing Tramuntana Farmhouse, the idyllic home of Leigh and Pille Morgan on the Balearic island of Mallorca. The trough sinks complement the Spanish stone used throughout the home, while creating sculptural focal points in each space.
