Over a century ago, someone carried this beautiful little charm with them everywhere, possibly reaching into their pocket throughout the day and touching it for good luck. The charm is a “Ho Ho” Boy holding a Lotus over his shoulder and would have been used to invoke good fortune and provide protection, and possibly amusement as well. It was forged in China’s Shanxi province out of bronze and has gained a lovely patina with age.
