"Caring Rabbits" Hand-Painted Seal Box by Deng Ying

Deng Ying is a Beijing based artist who created an series of paintings on porcelain objects for PAGODA RED that includes this petite porcelain box painted with rabbits, traditional Chinese symbols often associated with the moon that bring good luck to people on earth. The artist worked on the series at the Chinese imperial kilns in Jingdezhen with the hope that these playful and symbolic objects would touch many. A small container in this shape would have traditionally been used to contain ink for an artists seal stamp. Today, it is just right for jewelry or keepsakes. The box is signed and presented in a hand-made cushioned wood presentation box.
