Entitled "Outside Perspective #6," this 2003 photograph by Doug Fogelson captures the latent energy of a growing Hong Kong. The view is framed by the vertical rise of hive-like buildings, unusually empty of people yet still littered with signs of activity. The shot takes advantage of the early-morning calm to highlight the density of life traceable in the very infrastructure of the city. The work is part of a series taken during the artist’s honeymoon in China, when his wife, a Hong Kong native, visited the mainland for the first time.

“I am particularly fond of PAGODA RED as we have known the family for so long. Betsy is a professional in every way and her intelligent taste comes from a long line of family knowledge in the arts. She and her team are the very best to work with and we find treasures with every visit!”
