Despite being carved from solid limestone, each of these 19th-century stone display stands has the presence of a plush, down-filled cushion. Resembling a column base, each cushion functioned as a simple plinth to elevate a seated Buddhist figure. The pair continues a long Chinese tradition of stone furniture, valued for its rich texture and inherent permanence. The minimal cushions are wonderful as pedestals for large planters or as table stands for sculptures or precious objects.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
