Made of Chinese northern elmwood (yumu), this smooth block of wood was once used by a well-to-do woman as a headrest. The soft curve and height of the block not only supported her head and neck at rest, it also helped to preserve her intricate hairstyle. The headrest is shaped to resemble a low waisted kang table and simply carved with a graphic scrollwork design. Rustic and conversation-sparking, the headrest displays well on a bookcase, desk or side table.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
