Dated to the early 20th century, these petite collector's shelves are seamlessly constructed with clean lines and open sides. Once the centerpiece of a scholar’s studio, these open shelves were ideal for displaying stacks of books, scholars' rocks, precious antiques, and other scholarly implements.

The shelves are finished with many coats of glossy black lacquer for added graphic impact and decorated only with beaded edges and subtle floral finials. With streamlined sophistication, the timeless design holds its own in a contemporary office or living room.
