With luminous, emerald-green color and a graceful silhouette, this late 19th-century glass vase is a stunning example of Chinese Peking glass. In a process similar to cameo glass, the vase began as a simple blown-glass form, which was then repeatedly dipped into liquid glass to create layers of white and green color. The outer layers were then carved away in a process called "green cut to white," revealing a bas-relief scene of a swallow amidst lotus flowers and leaves, a motif for peace and calm.

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
