Lightly polished to achieve a glossy finish, this red coral specimen is perfectly balanced to rest tabletop with a gestural arch. Retaining much of its natural texture, coral specimens such as this are admired for their organic forms, much like traditional scholars' rocks. Though precious coral is beautiful on its own, intricately worked figurines and snuff bottles carved from red coral became especially popular in the early Qing dynasty, due to the material's resilience, density, and brilliant color.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
