This square corner half bench from China's Shandong province has a straightforward design with clean lines and balanced proportions. Dated to the early 20th century, the bench was constructed of northern elm (yumu) with mortise-and-tenon joinery and features a floating panel top, straight legs, and an open, paneled apron. Minimally decorated, the bench has been recently refinished for a well-worn texture that calls to be touched.

“I am particularly fond of PAGODA RED as we have known the family for so long. Betsy is a professional in every way and her intelligent taste comes from a long line of family knowledge in the arts. She and her team are the very best to work with and we find treasures with every visit!”
