Described in ancient Chinese texts as the “moon dyed with spring water,” celadon ceramics are prized for their well-proportioned forms and luminous blue-green glazes. This vintage celadon vase was sculpted by artisans of the Mengrai Kilns in Chiangmai, Thailand, a small-scale workshop renowned for their celadon vessels and glazed stonewares, each crafted by hand using traditional methods.

With simple elegance and sloping curves, the vase has a clean-lined silhouette decorated only by subtle horizontal stripes and a pale green celadon glaze with sheer translucency and a crackle finish. Stamped with maker's marks of the Mengrai Kilns.
