It’s difficult to distinguish this spare pedestal from a modern Parson’s side table. Both exhibit clean lines and a great silhouette. Crushed bamboo brings subtle texture to the minimalist design, and the dark lacquer brings out its sculptural geometry. A staple of Chinese furniture since the Song dynasty, bamboo was valued for its physical properties as much as its rich symbolism, representing humility as well as strength and endurance. Just like Chinese homeowners have for centuries, we love bamboo’s organic presence, lightness, and versatility.

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
