Brushed with many coats of red lacquer, this petite table once bore ritual objects as an altar table. Made around 1900 of Chinese northern elmwood, the table has a simple square shape, ever so slightly decorated with the subtle hoof-shaped feet, brass hardware and just a hint of relief carving. Asking to be showcased in an entry or hallway, this spirited table was designed with a bottom open shelf, two large drawers and two smaller drawers that were likely originally used for storing incense.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
