A thin brown glaze clings to the high shoulders of this petite jar, pooling between subtle ridges to create a pattern of light and dark across the vessel. Crafted in the late 19th century, the wide-mouth jar with strap handles was once used to store food in a Qing-dynasty kitchen, as evidenced by its interior glaze. Stopping short of the base, the irregular glaze exhibits a rich range of colors and iridescence that gives the pot fantastic character.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
