A lustrous, dark glaze clings to the squat form of this petite kitchen jar. The glazed vessel dates to the early 20th century and was used for storing food and condiments in a provincial Qing-dynasty kitchen, as evidenced by its interior glaze. The wide-mouth jar has a rounded body topped with small strap handles and a short, constricted neck. Contrasted by an unfinished base, the blue-black glaze exhibits a rich range of dark colors and clings to the subtle ridged texture of the hand-turned form.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
