Tracing its roots back into the Han dynasty, this early 20th-century vessel emulates the full-bodied shapes and unusual glazing found in ancient ceramics. Finely sculpted with thin walls, the jar has a squat, globular form that tapers from bulging shoulders to a narrow base. The cylindrical neck has an unglazed rim and is flanked by two small loop handles. The jar's balanced form is accentuated by a monochrome dark green glaze that lingers beautifully upon each imperfection.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
