Hand-carved of the highest quality jade, this 19th-century archer's ring was likely worn by a gentleman-scholar in Northern China. Traditionally, Chinese archers wore these rings to protect their thumbs while drawing a bowstring. Over time, these jade rings became fashion accessories and a decorative display of status. This stunning mustard jade ring, hued a lovely orange color with currents of red deposits, has been recently lined with sterling silver by a contemporary artisan, adding a modern finish and narrowing the interior diameter to ring size 10.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
