These petite bronze tools date to the late 19th century and were originally among the many accessories that comprised an opium smoking kit.
Both tools are a form of opium scraper, used to remove spent ash and debris from a pipe stem or pipe bowl. Both scrapers are molded with elegant handles that recall the curving shape of bamboo.
