Playfully protective, fu dogs walk the perimeter of these elaborately carved limestone column bases that date from around 1800. Reflecting the architectural function it once played, the base is sculpted like a building, with the lower portion sheltered by an upper tier supported by columns. The terrace top provides the perfect vantage point for the ever-watchful fu dogs. Skillfully sculpted, this unusual object adds intrigue tucked within a garden setting or adorning the front entrance.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
