The essence of classical Ming-style furniture is fully expressed in the simplicity and presence of these tall 19th century elm wood cabinets, with their elegant full-height doors and noodle-like long, round frames. The doors were designed with extended dowels at the top and bottom that ingeniously fit into the frames, freeing the cabinets of the need for distracting surface-mounted hinges. In perfect balance with the beautiful proportions, the carefully positioned brass closures create points of calm focus.
