Sweeping blue brushstrokes bring this 19th-century apothecary jar to life, marking its speckled glaze with lotus pods and scrolling vines. Emerging from the mud of riverbanks yet pristine and beautiful, the lotus plant is a symbol of purity and perfection, as well as an emblem of summer. Once used in an apothecary to hold ground herbs and oils for traditional medicines, this small vessel now takes pride of place simply on its own.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
