This petite blackwood tray from the late Qing dynasty reflects the literati's taste for fine materials and balanced proportions. The little tray is shaped as a six-petal flower blossom, hand-carved from a single piece blackwood (hongmu), a fine hardwood appreciated for its dense grain and dark brown color. Feminine yet refined, the delicate wooden dish is ideal today as a home for jewelry, mementos or other precious smalls.

Multiple trays available.
