With a low round body, tall neck ending in a round bulb this design is called a garlic-headed vase (or suantou ping). It was made by a modern artist in Zhejiang Province, but for centuries Chinese ceramicists have redesigned and reinterpreted the same beautiful, ancient forms. Rendered in a striking shade of rose pink, this classic design takes on a modern look.
