Created by Beijing-based artist Deng Ying exclusively for PAGODA RED, this limited edition hand-painted apothecary jar is one of a series playfully drawing on the Chinese tradition of blue-and-white porcelain. Fired at the historic Chinese imperial kilns of Jingdezhen, this petite jar is adorned with two ripe pomegranates, traditional symbols of fertility and prosperity. The fruits are rendered whole, simply outlined in classic cobalt and lightly colored with a wash of pale pink. A small leafy sprig on the lid adds to Deng Ying’s soft-spoken interpretation of a classic theme. This one-of-a-kind container is signed and presented in a hand-made cushioned wood presentation box.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
