Placed beside his inkpot and insktone, this 19th-century brush pot once held select calligraphy brushes in a scholar’s studio. Cloaked in a rich patina, the vessel is simply designed with finely joined pinewood slats held together by hand-smithed iron bands. Years of use have given this provincial brush pot a beautifully aged surface, wonderful as a rustic accent to a modern interior.
