This rustic wooden trunk has a simple silhouette and a dark patinated finish. The straightforward design is decorated only by the beaded edge trimming the frame and the iron hardware securing the flat lid. Though reminiscent of antique carpenter's chests, the simple trunk was likely used for general storage in the home. Dated to the 19th century, the chest has worn beautifully over the years, marked by imperfections and softened by a smooth texture that calls to be touched.

The trunk is missing the original lock and hasp.

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
