Centuries ago, a reed fisherman’s basket like this one would have been fairly common in rural China: an everyday item that would have been used until it was worn through. This particular example remains in beautiful condition, and so a century later, it has become a lovely collector’s item. The willow and reed has worn beautifully with time but remain intact: a true testament to its maker’s skill. We love this piece as a rustic wastebasket in a bathroom or study.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
