Sign of Honor

A 19th century Northern Chinese sign of honor presented to an esteemed scholar on his 80th birthday. The large characters in the center read (from right to left), "Happiness and Prosperity Accompanied by Long Life". Each of the presenters had their own names carved in the smaller lettering along the sides.
