Terracotta Brush Rest

Pausing in thought, a scholar once rested his calligrapher’s brush on this terracotta brush rest. With an undeniably organic shape, the holder provides two open spaces upon which to rest a brush or two while protecting the paper from wayward ink. We see this wonderfully abstract object performing any number of desk duties, or simply displayed for its intriguing sculptural form.
