Charm Rings

Each of these 19th c. silver rings is a one-of-a-kind good luck charm, strung with hand-worked fish, fruits, bells or other auspicious symbols. As you move, a soft chime heralds blessings to come.

Several rings have the motif of a butterfly (die 蝶) & a gourd/melon (gua 瓜). This is a visual idiom for the chengyu phrase "May there be ceaseless generations of sons and grandsons" (guadie mianmian 瓜瓞绵绵)
