This panel was carved over 150 years ago in China’s Guandong Province. The elm wood has aged beautifully with a warm glow full of depth and character. The panel is carved with two dragons facing each other, with tails swirling around to meet their heads. The dragon is an ancient symbol of strength, goodness and protection and was the imperial emblem of the emperors of the Han period.
