It’s rare to find an antique Chinese mirror that still bears its original glass. Crafted in northern China during the Republic Period (1912-1949) of the early 20th century, this large wall mirror has remarkably survived the passage of time with its glass intact. The rectangular mirror is enclosed within an elegantly simple rosewood frame and backing. Decorated only by a beaded edge and a thin strip of boxwood inlay, the hardwood frame displays beautiful red-brown color, tight wood grain, and a smooth, lustrous finish, having achieved wonderful character over time.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
