Spirit Stone

Chinese artists often placed stones like this one in their gardens or studios to inspire creativity. They believed that the unusual & natural coloration and design would help them focus while composing poetry, painting landscapes or practicing calligraphy. This black and white stone is millions of years old from China's Shandong province. It is thoughtfully mounted on a custom wooden stand.
