In China the art of brewing tea changed from dynasty to dynasty. This finely crafted sculptural teapot was cast from iron in the early 20th century with a rounded body, arched handle and spout. This style of pot became popular during the Ming Dynasty—traditionally, tea is enjoyed by drinking from porcelain tea bowls.
