Hand scrolls are unrolled from right to left showing one scene at a time—as a new section of the scroll is revealed the previous scene is rolled up. This pair of austere 19th century scroll weights was hand carved from select rosewood—and would have been used to keep the scroll open & flat while connoisseurs viewed it. This pair is fabulously tactile and makes a wonderful table curiosity.
