Centuries ago, a reed fisherman’s basket like this one would have been fairly common in rural China: an everyday item that would have been used until it was too worn. But this vintage basket is in beautiful condition, and so a century later, it has become a lovely collector’s item. The bamboo and reed has worn beautifully with time but remain intact: a true testament to its maker’s skill.
