Blue and White Longevity Tea Cup

This small lidded porcelain tea cup is decorated in the blue and white style with florals, auspicious symbols, and an all-over honeycomb pattern. One side of the cup is decorated with a pomegranate, a common offering fruit and a symbol of longevity and a large family. The other side is patterned with flowering plum blossom branches, symbols of longevity and an emblem of winter. The reign mark of the Chenghua period (1465-1487) is printed on the underside.
