In an exclusive collaboration with PAGODA RED, each hand-studded piece by artist the bms. was transformed from a provincial 19th-century artifact into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Embellishing with silver and gold thumbtacks, the bms. adds a contemporary twist to our storied objects, animating each surface with bold and provocative designs. This gilt tote was originally a Qing-dynasty grain bucket from Hebei province, carried by means of a burden bar resting on the shoulders. Marked by the artist's golden touch, the bucket is re-imagined as a fantastic sculptural vessel, dotted with clusters of gold. We love this updated look as an unexpected way to hold firewood, magazines, or anything you want stored beautifully.
