This large glazed jar was hand-crafted in China's Shanxi province over a century ago. Masterfully crafted, the jar is patterned in high relief, featuring medallion portraits of blooming flowers. A textured trim of scalloped and bead-like motifs border the jar's, framed by a pattern of stylized symbols of longevity. The rim is left unglazed, the exposed terra cotta set in beautiful contrast with the umber brown glaze that drips and pools down the jar's sides.

The base of this vessel has been drilled to allow for drainage.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
