A dark glaze drips down the sides of this petite storage jar, pooling between subtle ridges to create a pattern of light and dark across the vessel. Crafted in the late 19th century, the wide-mouth jar was once used to store food in a Qing-dynasty kitchen, as evidenced by its interior glaze. Stopping short of the base, the irregular glaze exhibits a range of colors and pitted wear that gives the pot fantastic character.
