Neolithic Yangshao Jar

This petite ceramic jar is a fine example of late Neolithic pottery of the Yangshao culture. Distinguished by the red-orange earthenware and squat form, the jar is decorated with a geometric saw-tooth pattern and criss-crossed lines around the lip.
