This 19th century storage jar is part of a tradition of Chinese ceramics making dating back thousands of years. By 12th century AD Chinese kiln sites were shipping pottery and goods across the known world. This richly glazed unique storage jar was most likely used for rice wine and was made according to the traditional techniques of Chinese artisans.
