Cobalt Salt Jar

Chinese porcelain was singular; the colors were beautiful and bright. Gifted ceramicists made designs that were durable and useful, and the craze to collect them spread across the world in the 1700s. This lovely jar is a more modern example of an ancient form used to store salt and other daily necessities. The deep cobalt glaze pops beautifully in combination with lighter blues and whites.
