This full-bodied ceramic vessel dates to the early 20th century and boasts a lustrous dark brown glaze inside and out. As evidenced by its narrow neck and interior glaze, this jar was once used in a provincial kitchen to store vinegar, oil or pickled vegetables. The jar is shaped with sloping sides, high shoulders, and a short, constricted neck. The dark glaze has a glossy finish and pools into the banded surface of the ceramic body to create a subtle striped pattern.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
