An iridescent blue glaze clings to the angular shoulders of this wide-mouth jar, imparting a silvery, metallic sheen to the otherwise rustic form. Crafted in the late 19th century, this jar with petite strap handles was once used to ferment and store vinegar in a Qing-dynasty kitchen, as evidenced by its interior glaze. Exposed at the base and lip, the vessel's shimmering glaze exhibits a rich range of colors and catches the light beautifully.
