Long ago, an Indonesian artisan living on Lombok, an island well known for its weaving, made his living using this handsome hand-crafted drill. The antique tool is beautifully constructed with timeworn materials - the ferrule tip is copper, the tapered handle is iron and the spiral shaft is carved of hardwood with a woven reed stop. Still functional, the drill is highly sculptural in the fluidity of its form. A discerning collector traveling to Lombok on behalf of a museum purchased this tool over 30 years ago, and today it lives on as a storied keepsake of the past.

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
