Stacked Barrel Calligraphy Brush

The brush was one of the Four Treasures of a scholar's studio, along with paper, ink, and an inkstone—each playing a part in the overall work. A scholar carefully chose this calligraphy brush with stiff and short horsehair bristles after appreciating both its form and function.
