Nautical Star Checkerboard

Dated early to mid-20th century, this Americana folk game board was crafted from a marbled linoleum floor tile, hand-painted with a graphic checkerboard design. The checkered pattern is framed by a border of red-and-black diamonds and nautical stars. Originally backed with hanging fixtures, the game board likely doubled as a piece of decorative wall art when not in use. We've set this checkerboard in a simple black frame for display as a fantastic example of Americana folk art.
