This 19th century hand-crafted brass hand warmer would have been owned by a woman of means and filled with coals so she could warm her hands on cold winter nights. The top is beautifully pierced with a lotus bud design. These buds are the middle stage of the lotus' development. That development lends the lotus its symbolic meaning: one of rising from concealed obscurity to perfect beauty.

“I am particularly fond of PAGODA RED as we have known the family for so long. Betsy is a professional in every way and her intelligent taste comes from a long line of family knowledge in the arts. She and her team are the very best to work with and we find treasures with every visit!”
