We’ve mounted this vintage wood weaving shuttle from the Philippines on a custom metal stand to highlight its sleek, sculptural form. Designed as a tool for an expert weaver, the 19th-century shuttle was used to carry weft yarns of spun silk through a complex loom to create damasks, gauze, and other luxurious textiles.
